About This Episode

Jim was told he wasn’t worth anything for the first 15 years of his life. But when he moved with his grandparents, life changed for the better. After being injured playing baseball, he decided to settle down and coach others how to play in a small oil town. He made a bet with his team that is they would a championship, he would try out of the MLB. When they blew everyone away and won the championship, he knew he had to keep his word. Jim went to the tryouts at the age of 35 and 3 months later as playing in the Major Leagues. His story didn’t stop there. He was diagnosed with parkinson’s disease and has been a motivation speaker since 2000.
